Senior Tea Artist

A modern tea bar tucked inside an ever-changing art gallery with open studio and classroom space, Pour-d invites guests to gather with friends, linger over innovative teas, and savor specialty baked goods in an atmosphere that welcomes creativity and collaboration. It’s simply a fun, joyful place to visit and work! A Senior Tea Artist is a key ambassador - one of the first impressions most people will have of our vision and space - so it is an important and integral role to the brand. A friendly smile, serving attitude and a caring heart are a must. As a new and growing business, Tea Artists may be asked to perform duties not specifically detailed in this job description. Having a great attitude and being a team player are important qualities we value. Responsibilities/Duties: • Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments. • Selling tea (and coffee), highlighting the differences between items, and educating customers about brewing methods. • Needs to be available most Saturdays • Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils. • Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality. • Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter and as well as retail items. • Working as part of a fun, high-energy team. • Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls. • Staying up to date on events happening in the building • Keeping equipment operating by following operating instructions and alerting manager if an equipment issue arises • Opening/Closing including maintaining and counting cash drawer • Assisting with training and supervising staff members • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations. Qualifications / Skills: • Exceptional listening and communication skills. • Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods. • Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. • A polite, engaging personality. • Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence. • Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment. • Reliable Compensation: • Beginning at $14/hour plus tips • Potential increases based on merit/outstanding service discussed at employee review • Includes a 4-week trial period • Includes most major holidays off • Free drink during shift, and free tea tastings of new items
