About the event

Natural Dyeing with Repurposed Flowers, food waste and tea! In this workshop you will learn the fundamentals of dyeing with natural materials such as repurposed flowers and food waste. Learn how to bundle dye and create a bath dye using materials you can collect from your own kitchen or backyard, as well as how to use household ingredients to enhance and alter color results.

A variety of repurposed dye materials will be provided to create an array of color and pattern options. Drink your tea and use the leaves as part of the process!  Experiment with techniques on cotton quilting squares before you dye your very own one-of-a-kind 100% silk bandana. Leave with your dyed textiles, an instructional handout and inspiration for future projects!
